While I found this book to be fascinating, I also found it to be discouraging. The first half of the book goes into an in-depth description of Lyme and biofilms and why it isn't necessary to kill the Lyme in order to feel better. In the second half of the book I was expecting to receive practical tools and steps that I could apply on my own to work towards feeling better. What I got instead was basically an infomercial for the center that the author runs. He lays out what needs to be done but doesn't lay out how to accomplish it, aside from coming to his center. I know many suffering from Lyme have already spent years and thousands of dollars to get better with little success and don't have the funds to drop thousands more on a treatment center (not to mention lodging, food, travel, etc.) and to be away from home for 4-6 weeks. I felt like I was being baited by this book and was pretty disheartened after reading it because I felt that if I can't make it to the treatment center than there is no hope of getting well because of the complexity of the disease and the complexity of the treatment needed. He even mentions in the book that there is a patent pending on his IV therapy because it's so unlike what anyone else does. If you've come up with something that is supposedly so effective, why patent it so others can't make, use, or sell it? I just didn't feel like this book offered any practical help for those suffering from Lyme or any other chronic disease. On the other hand, if you want lots of info on the center the author runs and would like to go there for treatment, then this book would probably be great for you.Product details

the information has been enlightening. Since reading this book and doing a little digging with my primary I have made some simple changes that have made this worth the read. Opting to move to a newer apartment complex to avoid mold and taking a closer look at my gut because of my antibiotic history. I can finally wake up in the morning feeling refreshed. It took some time and effort but the solutions here are a lot better than most other options.
I would give it 5 stars if it were easier to follow...
Felt like reading marketing material
Love the way that Lifestyle healing treats Lyme Disease, but it is extremely expensive and way out of my range of what I can afford pay for treatment. When I called the first time they were extremely helpful, I was told they would be willing to help in anyway they can, until they found out I didn't have enough money to pay for treatment. From that point on I got one word answers. Very disappointed.
I'll sum this book for you. 90% of the people that have lymes have Chronic Lymes. There is really no need to treat Chronic Lymes with anti-biotics because once its Chronic you can't cure it. So the author(who runs a treatment Center in Florida) wants you to exercise, get fresh air and get off all meds. I have Chronic Lymes, used to treat it for 90 days each year and it would more or less cure me for 9 months, then it would come back and I would do again. Author doesn't tell you what supplements to take because each case is different and if you go to his Clinic they will test you and give you just the right amount of supplements...REALLY.....REALLY. I think the book is probably right, BUT , if you can't get to the guys Clinic, whats a guy to do?? Since I read the book, I have stopped anti's, got off all meds(except aspirin) and now I can't sleep, my feet are sore, sore sore and I wake up with paralyzed elbows and hands(it goes away as I wake up).....really no need to read this book, unless you are going to the guys Clinic, then you would know what you're getting into!!!
This book is just a sales pitch for a clinic the doctor runs. I am upset that I purchased it due to the fact that my life does not afford me the luxury of living in Florida for 1-2 months to treat my Lyme at his clinic. Was hoping for more of a self help book.
While I agree with the premise of this book, it is nothing more than a big marketing promo for their clinic in Florida. There is no concrete plan of approach at all to try and even get the right tests, etc. basically the answer to everything is come to our clinic.
Don't expect any data on handling Lyme - this a book is an advertisement to visit Mr. Palumbo's clinic at a cost of $4,000+.
